You need to keep an eye out for this!
Let’s be honest, having type 2 diabetes isn’t a problem that anyone wants to have. While it isn’t the worst health problem someone could have, we should still strive to be the healthiest versions of ourselves.
While this statistic may shock you, the CDC claims that 1 in 3 adults already have prediabetes and most people simply don’t know it yet.
Here are some signs to check for if you are worried about having prediabetes:
Blurry vision
Are your eyes playing a trick on you? No, that could be prediabetes. Having high blood pressure will cause swelling in the lens of your eye which causes troubled vision.
More than usual urination
One of the most common signs of prediabetes is frequent urination. High blood sugar causes more that normal urination. So if you find yourself constantly in the bathroom, go see your doctor.
Dark skin patches
If you see darkening skin behind the neck, around the groin, and armpits it means there is too much insulin in your blood.
You are thirstier than usual
Being constantly thirsty can mean you have high blood sugar. People who have prediabetes tend to remain very thirsty throughout the day.
If you feel like you suffer from any of these conditions please reach out to your doctor immediately.
