Out of cleaner? Don’t forget that baking soda can be very effective at cleaning out the kitchen sink if you need a quick fix before guests arrive.
Works as deodorant
We know this sounds weird, but you can use baking soda as a deodorant if needed. If you have sensitive skin this may not be for you because it may cause redness.
According to Heathline here’s how you can make a deodorant:
- Mix about 1/4 tsp. baking soda with a small amount of lukewarm water in a bowl until it forms a paste.
- Apply the paste to your underarms, gently patting it onto your skin with your fingertips.
- Make sure the paste is completely dry before getting dressed.
Want to brighten up those clothes? Pour about 1/2 of a cup of baking soda into an empty washing machine THEN load the washer with clothes and baking soda will brighten your clothes up when its done.
Cleans dirty shoes
If your shoes are dirty, mix two tablespoons of white vinegar with a cup of warm water and 1 tablespoon of baking soda and mix. When it becomes a nice paste begin cleaning your shoes with it using a toothbrush.
