Here’s everything you need to know.

Many individuals enjoy coffee on a daily basis but do not know the benefits that it can have on the body. Research has shown that coffee can help protect the body against age-related conditions like Alzheimer’s dementia and Parkinson’s disease.

The study was taken with three different types of coffee, light roast, dark roast, and decaffeinated dark roast. The researchers tested these coffee’s to see how each one effects the body. The study found that the phenylindanes found in the coffee prevented the buildup and clumping of beta-amyloid and tau. The most phenylindanes found were in the dark roast and decaffeinated dark roast.

They concluded their research by stating that the dark roast is the best at protecting the body against Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s due to the high counts of phenylindanes.

The researchers stated that the phenylindanes are the main protection against these age related diseases and they should be looked into further to see if these diseases can be counteracted.
