Too much of a good thing can be bad for the body. Too much protein consumption could harm the body rather than do good. A recent study stated that too much protein could have adverse side effects that could damage the body.

If one eats too much protein it could lead to dehydration. This can happen even if the person’s water intake has not changed. This is due to the high protein diet that one has. Protein has nitrogen which the body tries to flush out which creates dehydration.

High protein diets can also lead to headaches and weakness throughout the body. This is caused by the lack of hydration and the high amounts of protein that one is having per meal. Experts state that this is also caused by being in ketosis.
