Did You Know!

The skin undergoes a continual process of renewal through cell turnover. New skin cells are constantly produced in the deepest layer of the epidermis (the basal layer) and migrate towards the surface, replacing old, dead skin cells that slough off naturally. This process, known as desquamation, typically takes about 28 to 30 days from the formation of new skin cells to shedding at the skin’s surface. This turnover helps maintain the skin’s integrity and appearance.
