Did You Know!

The endocrine system includes several major glands, each responsible for producing specific hormones. These glands include the pituitary gland (often referred to as the “master gland” because it controls the activity of other glands), the thyroid gland (regulates metabolism), the adrenal glands (produce hormones involved in stress response and metabolism), the pancreas (produces insulin and glucagon to regulate blood sugar levels), the ovaries (produce estrogen and progesterone in females), and the testes (produce testosterone in males), among others.
