Cheese is incorporated into many meals and can be eaten alone. However, this popular cheese is being linked to numerous health issues as a person ages. Here’s what you need to know about this cheese.

Experts are stating that soft and moldy ripened cheese is terrible for the immune system as a person ages. They recommend that people over the age of 65 should stay away from soft cheese made from unpasteurized milk such as feta, brie, camembert, blue-veined, and queso fresco.

They stated that these cheese may do more harm than good and could very well compromise the immune system over time. These cheeses are also considered “high-risk” by the FDA and are more likely to cause any food-born illnesses.
