Cotard’s Syndrome is an extremely rare psychiatric condition in which a person may believe they are dead, missing organs, or no longer exist.
Why it’s surprising: Some patients become convinced that their heart has stopped beating or that they no longer need food because they believe they have already died. The condition is often linked to severe depression, neurological disorders, or brain injuries.
