Tooth Grinding Can Be a Hidden Sleep Disorder

Many people with bruxism (teeth grinding) don’t realize they do it because it often happens during sleep. Sleep bruxism is sometimes associated with obstructive sleep apnea, stress, certain medications, or neurological conditions. Left untreated, it can wear down enamel, crack teeth, cause jaw pain, and even lead to chronic headaches before the person is aware there’s a dental problem.
