Some people can hear their own eyeballs move. A rare condition called superior canal dehiscence syndrome (SCDS) involves an abnormal opening in the bone covering part of the inner ear. Some affected people experience unusually amplified internal sounds—including their heartbeat, footsteps, chewing, and even eye movements. It can also cause dizziness and balance problems.
