🦴 1. Some People Have an Extra Pair of Ribs
Roughly 1 in 200 people are born with a small extra pair of ribs — usually called cervical ribs — that grow from the seventh cervical vertebra, just above the collarbone.
👉 These ribs are often harmless, but in rare cases they can compress nearby nerves or blood vessels, causing Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, which leads to numbness or circulation issues in the arms.
