Some people have golden blood — and it’s so rare, only about 50 people in the world have it.

Known as Rh-null, this blood type lacks all 61 Rh antigens, making it incredibly valuable for transfusions — but also extremely risky for those who have it, since they can only receive blood from another Rh-null donor. It’s often called the “universal donor” for rare blood types.
