Did You Know!

The human genome, which is the complete set of DNA within a human cell, contains approximately 3.2 billion base pairs of DNA. These base pairs are organized into around 20,000-25,000 genes, which are segments of DNA that provide the instructions for making proteins, the building blocks of cells and regulators of cellular processes. Apart from genes, DNA also contains non-coding regions that play regulatory roles in gene expression, as well as repetitive sequences and other structural elements.
