Did You Know!
Blood cells are constantly being produced in the body through a process called hematopoiesis. This process primarily occurs in the bone marrow, the spongy tissue found inside bones. Red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets are all formed in the bone marrow. Red blood cells carry oxygen, white blood cells fight infection, and platelets help in blood clotting. This continuous production ensures that the body has an adequate supply of these vital cells to maintain health and function.
