Did You Know!
The nostrils aren’t always equally functional. Throughout the day, they alternate in dominance in what’s known as the nasal cycle. This cycle, which occurs every 2 to 6 hours, regulates airflow and affects your sense of smell. The dominant nostril typically has better airflow, while the other is more restricted. This cycle helps optimize the detection of different odors and may also play a role in maintaining the health of the nasal passages.
