Did You Know!
Your Eyes Constantly Perform Tiny “Micro-Movements”
Even when you think you’re staring at something completely still, your eyes are actually moving nonstop.
These tiny motions are called microsaccades, and they happen several times every second.
Without them, your vision would actually fade out. That’s because if an image stayed perfectly still on the retina, your brain would start ignoring it—similar to how you stop feeling clothes against your skin after a while.
These micro-movements constantly refresh the visual signal so your brain continues to perceive the image.
