Your Lungs Can Float on Water
Unlike most organs, lungs are filled with tiny air sacs called alveoli. Even after you exhale, some air remains trapped inside, which makes lungs buoyant enough to float on water. This unique property is so distinct that forensic scientists sometimes use a lung flotation test to determine whether a newborn ever took its first breath.
