Cold temperatures can change your blood color
Blood stored in extremely cold environments (like in medical storage or during extreme hypothermia) can appear almost black or very dark purple. This is due to a lack of oxygen binding and slower circulation—not the usual bright red we see in oxygen-rich blood.
