Did You Know!
Each hair follicle on the scalp goes through a cycle of growth, transition, and rest. This cycle, known as the hair growth cycle, consists of three main phases: anagen (growth phase), catagen (transitional phase), and telogen (resting phase). On average, the scalp hair follicles remain in the anagen phase for 2 to 6 years, after which they enter the catagen phase for about 2 to 3 weeks before transitioning into the telogen phase, where the hair is shed. The entire cycle then repeats, with each hair follicle capable of producing a new hair shaft.
