Did You Know!
The outer layer of the skin, called the epidermis, undergoes constant renewal through a process called desquamation. New skin cells are continuously produced in the lower layers of the epidermis and gradually move to the surface. Dead skin cells are shed from the skin’s surface at a rate of about 40,000 cells per minute, contributing to the body’s natural exfoliation process. This turnover helps to maintain skin health and vitality.
