Did You Know!

Your skin helps regulate your body temperature through a process called thermoregulation. It does this by expanding or contracting blood vessels and producing sweat. When you’re hot, blood vessels in the skin dilate (widen) to release heat, and sweat glands produce sweat to cool the body as it evaporates. Conversely, when you’re cold, blood vessels constrict (narrow) to retain heat, and sweat production decreases to conserve warmth.
