A new study showed that brief exposure to infrared lighting can help improve and maintain vision. The year long study showed that exposure to deep red 670-nanometer beam of light on a daily basis improved vision in seniors by a significant amount. The beam of light improves function of cells that help the eye maintain its vision.

Keeping the eyes healthy is very important for many seniors as it reduces chances for injury. The researchers stated that this method needs to be researched further to see the full effect that it has on the eyes.
