Watch out for this.
Although coffee is one of the most popular drinks around the world, it could have some very serious health effects that can harm the body if one drinks too much of it. Coffee consumption raises higher and higher as the years go by and so does the risk of dementia. Coffee may raise the risk of dementia by over 50% depending on how much coffee a person drinks.
For those who are coffee lovers, they may want to limit themselves on how much coffee they drink throughout the day. Drinking more than six cups of coffee a day will increase the chances of developing dementia in the future by 53%. This conclusion was taken from a study in the U.K. with 17,702 participants between the ages of 30 and 37.
The participants were monitored on their coffee consumption throughout the days and during the whole time of the study. The participants also took brain images for the researchers to compare what the coffee did over time. Further research shows that the coffee is associated to lower brain volume which causes the need for coffee during the day.
Experts recommend heavy moderation for those who consume a large amount of coffee a day due to the effects that it has on the brain. If not moderated the person will have a very high chance of developing dementia in the future.
