Some Skin Disorders Are Triggered by Sunlight Through Window Glass
Most people know sunlight can affect the skin outdoors, but certain disorders can be triggered even while sitting indoors. Conditions such as lupus and some forms of porphyria can flare when ultraviolet (UV) rays penetrate ordinary window glass. While glass blocks most UVB rays, a significant amount of UVA radiation can still pass through, potentially worsening symptoms in sensitive individuals.
