Millions of Americans suffer from excessive lower back fat commonly known as having a “muffin top”. While you cannot lower fat in just one area of the body and must lower your overall weight, some things can be done to reduce the lower back fat faster.
Here’s what you need to do according to Wikihow to lose that muffin top:
Eat more lean protein
when you want to lose body fat and maintain muscle, it is important to eat lean protein! Stick to meats such as fish and healthy chicken that it not fried. Beans, lentils, tofu, and eggs are also a good choice.
Fruits and veggies
Replacing unhealthy foods with leafy greens such as spinach, kale, broccoli, sweet potatoes and more will keep you from eating unhealthy alternatives. It is recommended to eat at least 4 servings of fruit and 5 servings of vegetables.
Stay hydrated
Staying hydrated is essential to losing weight. Make sure to drink a glass of water immediately after you wake up and continue to hydrate yourself throughout the day.
Exercise
Make sure to focus on exercises that target your lower back and glutes regularly.
