Did You Know!

The heart is a powerful organ that works tirelessly throughout a person’s lifetime. On average, the human heart pumps about 2,000 gallons (or 7,570 liters) of blood each day. To put this into perspective, if you were to fill a standard-sized swimming pool with the amount of blood pumped by the heart in an average lifetime, you would need a pool that is approximately 25 feet (about 7.6 meters) in diameter. This highlights the incredible work the heart does to ensure the circulation of blood throughout the entire body.
