Did You Know!

Your gut has its own brain

The enteric nervous system (ENS)—often called the “second brain”—contains about 500 million neurons, more than the spinal cord.

It operates independently from your central nervous system, controlling digestion, enzyme release, and even emotional signals to the brain. This is why gut feelings are scientifically real—your gut literally “thinks” and sends mood-influencing neurotransmitters like serotonin (about 90% of it is produced in your intestines!).
