A Rare Lung Condition Can Cause “Stone-Like” Lungs
There is an extremely rare disorder called pulmonary alveolar microlithiasis where tiny calcium phosphate stones slowly build up inside the lungs over many years. Some people have almost no symptoms early on despite dramatic X-rays showing lungs filled with these microscopic calcifications.
