Certain Skin Conditions Can Temporarily Change Sweat Color
A rare disorder known as chromhidrosis can cause people to produce blue, green, yellow, brown, or even black-colored sweat. The condition occurs when pigment-producing compounds inside sweat glands become oxidized before reaching the skin’s surface. Though uncommon, cases have been documented where colored sweat stained clothing and caused significant emotional distress for patients before doctors identified the unusual condition.
