Certain blood cancers can begin without obvious symptoms. Some leukemias, lymphomas, and related disorders may initially be discovered through routine blood tests before a person feels noticeably ill. Abnormal white blood cell counts, anemia, or platelet changes can sometimes provide the first clue.
