Did You Know!

A little-known fact is that teeth can develop tiny internal fractures called “cracked tooth syndrome” that often don’t appear on regular X-rays.

Unlike obvious broken teeth, these microscopic cracks may only cause pain when biting down or releasing pressure. Because the cracks are so small, they can be difficult for dentists to detect without specialized tests, and if left untreated, they can spread deeper into the tooth, potentially requiring root canal therapy or even extraction.

This makes cracked tooth syndrome one of the more challenging—and frequently overlooked—tooth disorders to diagnose early.
