Muscle Weakness Isn’t Always Caused by Muscle Damage

Not all muscle disorders originate in the muscles themselves.

Conditions such as Myasthenia Gravis occur when communication between nerves and muscles breaks down. The muscles may be structurally healthy, but they cannot receive signals efficiently from the nervous system. This can cause severe weakness, drooping eyelids, difficulty swallowing, and fatigue that worsens throughout the day.
